You wonder how they manage to provision when sailing in such remote areas, but expect high standards of cuisine with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, and don’t miss the al fresco alternatives.

The Restaurant

With sweeping ocean views and plenty of window seats, this stylish restaurant accommodate all guests at one leisurely open seating, enabling you to dine when and with whom you please. A lavish breakfast and lunch buffet is supplanted by a la carte dining in the evening.

Outdoor Grill

Freshly cooked grills, salads and sides are available to order at lunchtime, whilst in the evening, cook your own steaks, chops or giant prawns outside on deck, on hot rocks - plastic bib supplied! Even at zero degrees this can be great on a fine 'night' with 24 hour daylight.

Panorama Lounge

A generous afternoon tea is served in the Panorama Lounge after a busy morning ashore.

Bars and lounges

On Silver Explorer it’s all about what’s going on outside, so enjoy panoramic views from all the bars and lounges.

A social experience par excellence, you will enjoy mulling over the day's activities in the Panorama Lounge, whilst all lectures and briefings take place in the comfortable Theatre. The Observation Lounge is the perfect option when sailing somewhere exciting, but for a bit of peace and quiet or to check out the atlas, hang out in the library.

A Silver Explorer cruise is all about the destination, so the expedition team is key, working hard on board and ashore.

The expedition team present a daily briefing in the airy theatre, combined with quick lectures from different individuals, and more in-depth presentations during sea time. Experts in many fields - including naturalists, historians, anthropologists, biologists and more - enhance time on board and ashore.
