“My Style Is Minimal. I Like A Clean White Shell That I Can Bring To Life With Art And Furniture. “

Sam Farhang: A Dubai's Calm and Contemporary Home

When Sam Farhang first saw this Meadows property in 2016, it was a typical Dubai villa. In this interior design project, he refined the layout, removed a few walls for a more open-plan living concept, and replaced the original windows with floor-to-ceiling glass panels.

Sam Farhang: A Dubai's Calm and Contemporary Home

To Sam Farhang’s credit, even though the developer did not approve some of the changes he wanted to implement, the interior designer has crafted an oasis of calm with a strong connection to nature.

Sam Farhang: A Dubai's Calm and Contemporary Home

In this contemporary Dubai home, an array of design icons are part of the home decor.

“I collect a range of art, all representing my mood and thoughts during a particular time in my life,”- says Sam Farhang’s – “Each and every piece I have in the house – from works by Cassina, one of my favorite brands, to the plexiglass tables I designed years ago – has a back story. You can say I live with memories.”

Sam Farhang: A Dubai's Calm and Contemporary Home

Sam Farhang insists that this is a house with a practical interior design, for living in and not just appreciating. The interior designer’s vision is evident in the relaxed manner with which he has integrated design objects from different eras and styles.

It was just last month, on April 8, that the boutique hotel finally opened in South Beach, Miami. Just hearing the name, you can feel the optimism and cheerfulness that surrounds it – let us introduce you to this charming project made for fun and blissful moments.

The GoodTime Hotel - The Pharrell Williams And David Grutman's Dream That Came Real

This hotel overview immediately makes you feel the good energy in the air. With a sweet mix of pinks, greens, and blues that remind us of the good weather and sensations in Florida, there is no doubt: it is a place that everyone would like to visit!

The GoodTime hotel has a state-of-the-art library inspired by Margot Tenenbaum, a character from The Royal Tenenbaums, an American comedy about a dysfunctional family. This space has peachy tones, making it a sweet, fun, and creative place – in keeping with the all-hotel idea of being a place where people feel On Cloud Nine.

The GoodTime Hotel - The Pharrell Williams And David Grutman's Dream That Came Real

You’ll find queen-size doubles or suites in the guest rooms, also with bold tones, with the green and pink decor! The curtains have faces designed by Ken Fulk, and there are also rotary phones, perfect for some candy and heart-to-heart conversation

The GoodTime Hotel - The Pharrell Williams And David Grutman's Dream That Came Real

Pharrell and Ken are enamored with the idea of guests using the leopard print bathrobe not only in the rooms but outside as well. You can’t help but get excited imagining a bunch of people wearing the same bathrobe as if they were in a Wes Anderson movie. Creative and distinctive, that’s the whole vibe of The GoodTime Hotel.

Outside you will find Strawberry Moon, an indoor and outdoor Mediterranean restaurant. The name was inspired by the phase of the moon when Grutman and Williams first signed the deal – That’s So Adorable, Right?
At Strawberry Moon, in The GoodTime Hotel, you will find elegant cabanas, several covered bars, and an outdoor area with fifty shades of pink and trees, plants, and vines – the perfect place to enjoy the weather and the view.

Every detail counts, especially when we’re talking about interior design (what a wonderful work of Ken Fulk): take a look at this entrance area, with the tropical wallpaper. Can’t You Feel The Beat?

The GoodTime Hotel - The Pharrell Williams And David Grutman's Dream That Came Real

At The GoodTime hotel, you can rest, have fun or enjoy a great meal with friends. We can’t think of a better name for it – it’s really about seizing the moment and the best that life has to offer us. Kudos are also due to the architecture by Morris Adjm and the landscape design by RJI Studio.

The whole idea at the GoodTime hotel is for guests to have fun, wear a fancy bathrobe, drink a delicious cocktail, dance under the Miami sky, or swim in the pool. The world needs good vibes and Williams and Grutman are aware of that. They promised a good time, and that’s exactly what we see looking at these pictures ( And Obviously Listening To The Mega-Hit “Happy)!

Parisian Luxury Mansion – Interior design project by Jacques Grange https://dailydesignews.com/paris-luxury-mansion-interior-design-project-by-jacques-grange/ https://dailydesignews.com/paris-luxury-mansion-interior-design-project-by-jacques-grange/#respond Mon, 29 Mar 2021 13:45:08 +0000 https://dailydesignews.com/?p=7766 Paris is undoubtedly the capital of love. The light city. The city that transports us to romanticism and surrounding historical times where fashion, balls, care for architectural design and ostentatious, were the rule rather than the exception. With this wonderful environment to work the french interior designer, Jacques Grange, hired by a Russian businessman (current owner of the mansion), conceived a project focused on the restoration of the mansion and not its total renovation. Discover with us this wonderful, masterful and elegant mansion in the heart of Paris and let yourself be inspired by the romantic architecture and exquisite design!

A Luxury Mansion in Paris - An interior design project by Jacques Grange

As it is extremely well noticeable, the french interior designer provided his client with a project based on an exclusive design. In fact, this mansion has everything that is exclusive, but Jacques Grange wanted to highlight the unique, the restricted, the unparalleled. Every corner of this project in Paris forces us to stop, look and contemplate the beauty, grandeur, and magnitude in it!

Light colors, neutral and discreet tones would have been a safe bet to support its design, but the owner’s wife wanted something “something glamorous, something of haute couture”. As we can see the color scheme was anything but boring, in fact, it was the perfect balance between bold colors, richer and more “old-fashioned” fabrics, and a sense of luxurious and contemporary design.

“If you are a creator and you love art, you need to reevaluate. You cannot stay the same.”

Jacques Grange

Jacques Grange Paris project dictates the true meaning of a luxurious design. The perfect, balanced, and graceful combination of materials, patterns, textures, fabrics, colors, and stones that are so distinct from each other! The French interior designer in collaboration with architect Jean-François Bodin conceived a project that fully harmonizes contemporary designexclusive design, and luxury design. For us, a project that definitely transpires the french decor influence and, that will certainly be a reference for many years to come!
