The Amazon is one of the world’s great waterways, rising in the Andes and draining the vast Amazonian Basin as it winds its way to the Atlantic coast. Whilst primarily a Brazilian river, its tributaries extend from Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. Amazingly, more than a third of all the world’s species live in the Amazon Rainforest.
